ABOUT US
Remarkable Theatre is run by a committee of volunteers
Established in 2009 from Queenstown Shakespeare our community theatre group aims to promote the performing arts in Central Otago and to encourage the development of acting and performance skills of people in the Queenstown Lakes District.
Remarkable Theatre Incorporated is a registered charity and we are grateful for grants, donations and support to enable the committee to produce quality theatre.
Currently, we have three shows on our yearly calendar. Our free promenade summer shows in the Queenstown Gardens have been running for ten years and are a hit with locals and visitors.
Our major performance is held in Spring and we try and have a variety each year between comedy and drama.
We have the New Zealand rights to Pint Size Plays. The top entries in this short playwriting competition are then performed in May and the audience votes for the winner.
